People today are afraid of any church or preacher that does not have the approval, backing or recognition of an established, organized religious body or denomination. And yet, the Lord Jesus Christ had none of these. All He had was the Fathers approval and that was enough. What Paul preached "flesh and blood" had not given him. What Peter knew, he knew by "revelation" of God. The Pharisees didnt believe on Christ. The great teachers of the law did not follow Him. The religious leaders and philosophers of the day despised Him. To follow Christ and be identified with Him is to be found outside the "camp." Gods elect are not of this world. They do not have the worlds favor, especially the worlds religious favor, but they have the favor of God and that is enough. Our greatest need for acceptance is to be "accepted in the Beloved."
